NOTICE TO CITY OF OLEAN RESIDENTS
2007 LEAF COLLECTION
Leaf collection in the City of Olean will begin
Monday, October 29, 2007. They will be collected from the roadway
one-time only per the schedule below:
WEEK OF OCTOBER 29, 2007:
Place leaves in roadway weekend of Oct. 27-28
 | Midtown area lying east of Union Street toward the Olean
Creek and from East Sullivan Street southerly toward the
Allegheny River. |
| All streets parallel to West State Street from Union Street
to the west City line, including the adjacent north-south
numerical streets through the West End. |
| The immediate area north of West Sullivan Street to 8th
Street through the Wayne, Coleman Street section and cross
streets. |
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 5, 2007:
Place leaves in roadway weekend of Nov. 3-4
| North Olean. |
| South Olean. |
| East Olean. |
| Boardmanville. |
NOTES:
| NO LEAVES TO BE PLACED IN ROADWAY until weekend
before scheduled collection period. Doing so causes drainage
problems and creates hazards for vehicle traffic and pedestrians
as well as children who play in them. This will be strictly
enforced. |
| Do NOT place tree limbs or branches in roadway
with leaves. Leaf collection machinery cannot accommodate them. |
| Do NOT dispose of additional leaves in the
roadway after collection has been completed. This is a
violation of City law and violators may be ticketed. |
| Refrain from parking vehicles on streets anticipating a
collection. |
