OLEAN – Mayor Linda Witte has released the February 1 edition of her “Community Update,” the second edition of a bi-weekly newsletter she is publishing to keep Olean residents informed of the latest developments in city government.

The newsletter contains brief reports on her 2012-2013 budget proposal, the recent National Register of Historic Places designation of the B’Nai Israel Temple on South Barry Street, the 20th anniversary celebration of the Washington Street Theatre and Sam Hoyt’s presentation of Governor Cuomo’s budget. This edition contains 10 color photos and is presented in pdf format for improved accessibility.

The newsletter publication dates are the 15th and 30th of each month.. It will appear in the Mayor’s section of the City’s website. To find it, type www.cityofolean.org into your browser. You can click on “Mayor Linda Witte’s Bi-Weekly Newsletter, February 1, 2012” in the list of links on the city’s home page. Or you can find the newsletter by going to the “Department” dropdown menu and clicking on “Mayor”. Once on the Mayor’s page, click on “Mayor’s Newsletter” which appears on a menu at the left of the page.

A limited number of paper copies will be available to those people who do not have access to the Internet. To obtain a copy, please visit the Mayor’s office in the Olean Municipal Building or call 376-5615.
