All plumbing contractors should have a copy of the current NYS Plumbing Code. From time to time, in articles on this website, I mention different Code section numbers and paragraph numbers. Having a code book allows you to reference the entire section in question. Knowledge of the code, and installations that comply with the code, will assure that the job is done right the first time.

The International Code Council also has available a code book that covers the ADA requirements for accessible installations. If this would be of interest to your business, look for any ANSI A117.1 information at the aforementioned site. This code covers all the ADA requirements of which plumbing is one part.
