Taskforce for Empowering Neighborhoods Reschedules Meeting

March 6, 2019—Olean— The City of Olean Taskforce for Empowering Neighborhoods has rescheduled an open meeting for Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 119 in the Olean Municipal Building, 101 East State Street in Olean. The original meeting was postponed because of the weather.

“Our meeting will focus on the key strategies for keeping neighborhoods safe, including a discussion on how to start a Neighborhood Watch,” said Kelly Andreano, Ward 2 Alderman and Chairperson of the Taskforce. “Our Neighborhood Watch program has been very successful and new groups have expressed an interest in the program. This meeting will be the perfect opportunity for residents to learn more about preserving their neighborhoods, preventing crime and promoting safety.”

William J. Aiello, Mayor of the City of Olean, added, “Under Alderman Andreano’s leadership we have seen the re-establishment of the Neighborhood Watch program and I am pleased that the group is working to expand its presence. I urge anyone who is interested in the program to please attend the meeting.”of Olean Taskforce for Empowering Neighborhoods meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 119 in the Municipal Building has been postponed due to the extreme weather warnings.
