Grand Opening of Lincoln Square

August 20, 2019—Olean— William J. Aiello, Mayor of the City of Olean, is pleased to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Lincoln Square on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Lincoln Park. The R.E.A.P. Olean Farmers’ Market will be utilizing the new facility during the ceremony.

”We are very pleased to have the construction of our new Walkable Olean attraction completed and ready for business,” Mayor Aiello said. “It seemed appropriate for us to cut the ribbon during the R.E.A.P. Olean Farmers’ Market as they will relocate to Lincoln Square on Saturday and will continue to use the facility throughout the season for their Saturday operation.”

Mayor Aiello added, “Lincoln Square is another attraction in our walkable community that can be used for a variety of events and we have had a number of inquiries as families plan reunions and weddings, or organizations plan outings.”

“I ask all residents to come down and visit the park on Saturday and support the R.E.A.P Olean Farmers’ Market. I think the community will be pleased with both the beauty of the structure and the landscaping in the park,” Mayor Aiello said.

Cattaraugus County, Empire State Development, and former New York State Senator Catharine Young all helped to finance Lincoln Square. The general contractor is Kinley Corporation and Tamara Hilmey of Plywood Studio is the architect.
