City of Olean Has Complied With Governor Cuomo's Executive Order

March 18, 2020—Olean— The City of Olean has complied with Governor Cuomo’s order to reduce municipal staff by 50 percent in the effort to fight the spread of COVID-19. Please be advised that until the order is lifted residents may experience delays when requesting services as a number of City employees will be working from home.

No reductions were made to the Olean Police Department or to the Olean Fire Department. The Olean Water Filtration Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant will continue operation.

The public can access the City Clerk’s office in the municipal building from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. All other offices in the Municipal Building will be available by phone or email. Please check the City website: at www.cityofolean.org for contact information.

“I encourage residents to please use the white drop box on the Lincoln Square side of the building marked “City Business Only” or use the drop box in the City Clerk’s Office to make payments,” Mayor Aiello said. “We will mail receipts if so desired. And please feel free to call my office at 716 376 5615 with questions or concerns.”
